For anyone who knew Lan Jingyi, either from home or from the world he's begun to have vague dreams about, they will find him now in his early thirties, and someone who bailed cruelly on the Dawnseekers three years ago to pursue power and acclaim at the House of M. If anyone asks around, however, Jingyi does have a reputation for helping out the Dawnseekers at the drop of a hat, and often will assist with monsters and projects, especially at the request of his family.
A Belated Arrival
With only a couple of days left until the Synod, Jingyi arrives without fanfare, dropping out of the sky on his sword in his more modern-style flight outfit of leather and cotton, his sword sheath strapped to his back. Getting the Gate up and running will not come a moment too soon. As it is, he lands in a plaza and dusts himself off before looking around, seeing if he can spot any newcomers, friends, or acquaintances that might need a friendly greeting. Still, though, he gives only the most cursory of looks; he has qiankun pouch full of notes on the new arrivals to the House of M and he would like to get them to the Library before he goes to find somewhere to wash up and relax. As such, even though he sweeps his gaze over everyone as he heads from plaza to Library, faces do not immediately register.
Visiting Old Family
There for the establishment and building of the Dawnseekers, Jingyi has come to view them as family as much as he did those of his own world who had ended up here. Part of the reason he gave himself so long before Synod to drop off his information was his desire to say hello to friends, family, and everyone in between. The one bad part of living at the House of M (besides the whole...concerning attitudes thing), was that he had had to leave everyone behind for most of the year.
He heads to where they are most likely to be at this time of day and taps gently on the door frame (or whatever else is nearby that might make a light thunk) to get their attention. He must look a sight in his sweat-stained flight outfit, but the grin is more than genuine. "Miss me?"
