[ he drops into a fitful sleep before long. his head tucks neatly under david's chin, temperature radiating off of him as his powers struggle to reactivate and mend the damage.

he wakes up coughing, his whole body shaking with the force of it, he curls up, clutching david's shirt and gasping. ]
