Diego finds the Synods useful at times but he’d rather leave the recruiting for new things happening behind the scenes to people better suited to it. When a call to action came along, he’d be right there at the front line, but he isn’t made for the more subtle parts of that.

His further comment on politicians brings working for the Citadel Council to mind, and her laugh is a light but genuine thing. The stranger's right - Councilor Udina was unlikeable even by the other Councilors well before he turned out to be working with terrorists.

He takes another sip of his drink and idly wonders when something might get interesting around here. "You'd think they'd find a way to keep the mind-numbing boredom of these events at bay, at least." he admits with a soft sigh.
