You destroyed a space station, I destroyed a door. They would've both been used as weapons by Palpatine.

[And, a little voice in his head pipes up, a weapon that allows its user to completely control time and space is maybe more dangerous, but whatever! He doesn't need a medal! No jealousy here.]

The people here wouldn't care if I destroyed the Porter. You wouldn't allow them to. If this is peace, it's not what I want.

[No emotions, no passion... It doesn't feel right. If that makes him a Sith, then sure, call him a Sith.]

[ Well maybe don't disappear after you do big things, and you might get medals, Ezra! ]

[ Luke bristled, clenching his fists, digging his nails into his palm as a painful effort to control himself. ]

If destroying the Porter kills all of us, there's no telling what that will do to the people here. At least I'm doing something. At least I didn't run away.

[Force users shouldn't rule over people like this. Yeah, he expected it from the dark side, but not Luke.]

Being around when people needed you the most would have been more productive.

[ He totally wasn't going to say "when I needed you the most." Why would he say something like that? He was just being emotional; that was why his voice hitched a little when he said "people." ]

What good is doing all of that if you don't actually put it to use?

[They had Luke, after all. And Luke had everyone else to think of. Even back in their galaxy, if he went missing forever, would anything change?]

Luke, destroying the Porter is putting it to use.

[ A bitter taste rose in the back of his throat, and he ended up snapping without thinking: ]

[ He felt his gut twist, immediately regretting his words, but he wasn't about to backtrack on them. Instead he swallowed hard, looking away from him. ]

...I'm not going to help you with this. There's too many factors to consider to just blindly consider.

I'd consider myself lucky if I could be half the Jedi Kanan was.

[And what would Kanan think of his plan? He has no idea, but he knows he wouldn't approve of what the others are doing.]

[ Luke swallowed hard half tempted to bite out a snarky response. After all, Ezra was the one with a master that didn't keep the truth from him, or color it as "a certain point of view". His last reply made him come up short, however, his focus almost slipping completely. He held on, but it was akin to someone clinging to the edge of a cliff by their fingertips. ]

[ His voice was not shaking. It was not shaking at all. ]

You can stop me now if you want. You could kill me. Or make me like everyone else here, though that might be more difficult. Since empathy's sorta my thing...

[It's not bragging if it's the only thing he has over the rest of them. And he's still not even that great at connecting with sentients.]

[ He should just kill him. That would be the logical thing to do, to keep Ezra from doing something stupid, and to keep his emotions from breaking his focus every time he was around -- or, if he was honest, every time he so much as thought of him. ]

[ His hand tightened into a fist at his side, and were he younger, he may well have pulled the lightsaber that still dangled from his hip. Somehow, though, he ended up calming enough to loosen his fingers, letting out a shaking breath. ]

Just... leave, Ezra. Just leave, and don't come back.
