WHO: Lacey Burrows and Open.
WHERE: Empire of Light.
WHEN: Various, all backdated.
WHAT: Lacey being 'quantum leaped' to the Empire of Light and adjusting to life there.
WARNINGS: None currently.  Will update if needed.

1. Day one, September 7th.

Lacey isn't sure what's happening.  She wakes up in a strange house, that oddly looks like it was decorated by her.   She finds a small pile of mail on a counter, all addressed to her.  As she walks through the house, she sees familiar and unfamiliar items, as if another version of herself lived there.  She takes the liberty of a shower, dressing in the clothes she found in the closet and the rest of her usual morning routine.  Even her favorite cereals are in the cupboard.  It's so odd.   She walks outside and down the sidewalk, hoping for a clue as to what is happening.

2. Between September 8th and 10th.

Lacey's still confused.  She's taken on the task of running the restaurant she owns, filling her days with work to keep herself calm.  She engages in conversations with her customers as often as she can, though she knows nothing of her double's history and how she got to the Empire.  Maybe someone will have a clue as to what's going on.  No one seems to remember the other porter world, the one without factions.  Perhaps your character's heard of the strange things Lacey sometimes says and are curious.  Or perhaps they've been 'quantum leaped' as well and are looking for a friend to share in the confusion.

Lacey stops by a table.  "Hi there.  Are you enjoying your meal?"

3.  Between September 11 and 13th.

Lacey sits on a bench in the park and sighs.  People who've known her double in this world, will be surprised to see her looking so melancholy.  She can't help it.  It's more than adjusting to this 'quantum leap' life.   Something is off about this Empire of Light.  She can't shake the feeling that people aren't as happy as they seem.  It feels almost as if they're being controlled or manipulated, thought she can't explain why she feels that way.  She wants to return home to Dog River or the import world she knew.  She sees someone approach and moves over, making room for them to join her on the bench if they choose.

Even freedom fighters need to grab a bite every once in a while, especially when one never knows if his identity is going to get compromised and he needs to stretch out his meals for a while. Thus, Anders finds himself eating out at a restaurant he thought looked good. Even then, he wears a hat inside and tries not to stand out too much.

He looks up as the lady approaches him, swallowing a mouthful of food. "It's quite good, thank you."

"Pretty well," Pretty well all things considered. He hasn't had his identity compromised today and so far nobody has needed urgent healing, so the calls that a pretty good day. "I'm mostly passing through, and figured I'd stop by and get some food."

"I'm something of a nomad. I go where there's healing needed," Which is technically the truth. Anders is a healer and there are lots of places that need his help when the ruling class don't give a hoot as to who gets hurt.

"Within reason," As in, he can't go far from the porters without suffering and dying. Besides, the people near the porters are the ones who need him the most. "I just recently had a jaunt through New Solstheim."

Councilor Onaru certainly likes to project an image of being a benevolent ruler, but he's heard stories about the man that chill him.
