How did she get here?
WHO: Jaina Solo and OPEN
WHERE: Northwestern Imperium
WHEN: Backdated Pre-Synod
WHAT: Jaina has a bad day, Jaina looks for the resistance
WARNINGS: None presently
A- for Ysanne
The thing about being fourteen and a leadership protege is... you still have to go to high school. Get normal education.
The thing about being quantum leaped into a life you've been living for a year is that you get tossed into high school social dynamics you used to know but now sure don't.
The thing about being Ported in from a spacefaring society is that sometimes your teachers are definitely wrong about physics.
Anger may be of the Dark Side, but dropping your school bag on the ground with a notable thud? THat's of the Teenager Side
B- Open
The fit of teenagerness passes, of course. She has enough else going on that she can't stay in a funk for very long. THere's another major challenge to being a teenager in this world. She's too idealistic for it, she wants to do something. And that means looking for people who will help her change it and convincing them to actually take her seriously. It' s not always easy, looking for members of the Resistance. But she wants to help so she's trying to seek them out anyway.

At least, that was her assessment. She knew Jaina had deep issues with her schooling, but it was necessary. She had to be grounded, if she was to develop better than other imPorts - a normal childhood had kept Ysanne from becoming...well, other imPorts. She was trying to give Jaina as much as she could. But time was growing short, and she had so much to impart.
But there were more important things. So when she heard that familiar thud, she put down the paperwork on her desk, making her way into the stately home's living room to greet her.
"Hello, Jaina. A rough day, I take it?"

But who else is there? She's here now. "I'm not sure if the teachers or the other students are worse."
no subject
It is such that informs her now.
"Oooh, I know what this requires. Fresh Crêpes Suzette. To soothe and distract."
She gestures at Jaina to follow her towards the kitchen.
"And you can tell me all about it, being much more interesting and important to me than mining reports."

"I hear you've been looking for certain someones. I might be able to help."
no subject
"I think I could be helpful to the someones."
no subject
"Why don't we work out the details somewhere more secluded?"
B
She's on her lunch break when she spots a determined teenager.
"Oh, hey, are you looking for your adult?" she asks. "Because we don't really do work experience."
no subject
Really, don't you want help from someone the Director-General trusts to look out for herself? Clearly a good bullet point on the resume she doesn't actually have. "I'm pretty resourceful."
no subject
"Really," she says, tone deliberately even. "And what exactly do you need to be resourceful for?"
